12. How Should I Care for and Maintain My Sword?
To preserve the beauty and lifespan of your sword, we recommend the following:
🧼 Keep the Blade Clean
Avoid direct contact with fingers to minimize oxidation.
Wipe off fingerprints and moisture using a soft, dry cloth after handling.
🛢️ Regular Oiling
Every 2–3 months, apply a thin layer of anti-rust oil (mineral oil, sword oil, or olive oil).
Wipe off excess oil to prevent dust buildup.
📦 Store Properly
Keep your sword in a dry, well-ventilated place.
Even rust-resistant blades can corrode if exposed to prolonged humidity.
While our blades are made from rust-resistant materials, regular care helps preserve both their appearance and performance.
Additional Notes
A light protective oil coating may be present when the sword arrives — simply wipe it off with a soft cloth.
Small wood shavings in the scabbard are common and will reduce naturally with use.
